2009 Annual National AALNC Conference in Phoenix  April and the 2009 Annual AALNC Conference is just around the corner. The first Conference was held in Phoenix 20 years ago. Since we are the hosting Chapter, it's up to us to make everyone feel welcome and excited to be here. The hosting Chapter staffs a Hospitality Desk to provide personal recommendations for dining, shopping and entertainment. Additionally, we may be asked to act as facilitators for some of the sessions. A newer tradition at the Conferences has been the Annual Chapter Night. It is an excellent opportunity for members to network with local chapters and learn about their programs. There is always a theme. Many of you have already volunteered to be involved with local planning for the Conference. We will have a very brief meeting of volunteers following the next luncheon on September 9th. Anyone interested please send me, Jean Cooper, an e-mail at home, azjkc@aol.com and plan to stay just a few minutes in September. I know there are lots of ideas and energy to make the 20th Annual AALNC Conference a great experience for everyone.
